If I may make a suggestion, try playing with line weight in your works. It can give a greater implication of depth in a simplified form. Keep in mind line weight is influenced by shadows and intersections as well. Just my two cents, love the art ^_^

You’re the second one who’s telling me that, maybe I should try it out, although I usually don’t have a clue where to put shadows in the first place ^^’
