I tried something new here with adding muscles to a pony. For anyone who wonders about the weird shading on Cpt. Shadowstep that should just show that he’s a soldier and has a well toned body ^^’
I’m quite satisfied how the lightning went out and it took me some time to figure out how to add the “water” effect to the Captain so he looks soaked. I don’t tell you what it looked like he was covered in before I figured out that I don’t need large glops of bluish white to simulate the effect of water.
This time the hair looks rather good, but I want to test another way of shading hair next time (at least I’ll try it)
Nonetheless I hope you enjoy it Captain Shadowstep for so long you liked and supported my art it was about time to give you a little something =:}
PS: The Cutie Mark was the only thing I didn’t draw myself, I was lazy and just imported it from his reference link ^^’

Wow this was a very tiring but satisfying work. The colouring alone took me 3 hours to dow so all together it must have been around 5 to 6 hours to complete from sketch to this one.
Totally worth it! I tried some things with the eyes (didn’t worked I made them “normal”) and also some things with shading her body and clothes (worked way better but somehow I guess I stay with airbrushs)
And I don’t know why, but I like it way more to work several hours on one picture like that with lot of trying and effort and shading than to work the same amount of time on several panels for my comic.
I’m a terrible blog mod paying more attention to my mod blog, than to my OC blog :\ Anyway, here some art featuring Yang in one of her prom attires and marvelling at her own beauty! (I forgot rouge and everything makeup but meh, next time maybe ^^’ )

I said that I have to draw a sexy Aulana to make up fort he Zombie Aulana. Well I don’t know exactly if you can count this as sexy, but I like it anyway ^^ Without outlines it isn’t as clean as from other artists works, but nevertheless it looks *Fluttershymode*nice*/Fluttershymode*
2 experiments in this one. One being the feathers trying to make them somewhat different if this looks any good and secondly the hair! I think the tail is “better” than my usual attempts at hair, but her mane? Nah, not perfect yet, needs serious improvement my hair technique @.@

Yes her mane isn’t purely black since pure black lacks enough contures and accents to properly display it, at least for me. I seriously need to learn how to make convincable hair >.< I decided her dress to be blue and her coat is white, but a tad bit bluish.
I realized, that coluring/shading black and white ponies is more difficult than coloured ones @.@ Or I do something wrong which isn’t out of question as well ^^’
Anyway have a cute anthro ponee Yang in one of her attires as she tried which one suites her best!
Upon request from http://aulann.tumblr.com/ I coloured my picture “Cheerilee’s Flower garden” The most time was spend searching colour references and switching between pictures to tap those colours @.@
And of course I can’t draw grass properly, need to work on effectes, or just be less lazy to draw them :x
Ack that was hard to draw @.@ Memo to myself, when doing transparent hair think before doing something! You’ll see the mess I did at his head, forgot that his fur colour has to shine through the hair and his eyes, but *sigh* since I didn’t remembered it prior it was hard to incorporate it when my picture was already finished @.@
But actually way faster than expected! Took me “only” one and an half hour to get it done and I like it ^^
